Congratulations!

You have arrived at Oaktree Home and Garden Centre, stay awhile, browse around the site, take a look at the ever increasing stock of products we have for your garden, catch up on some useful hints and tips, feel free to ask questions or add comments.

Our aim is for you, the visitor, to help us make this site a place for all to visit and add your ideas, information, pictures or just ask questions.

Gardening doesn’t have to be a set of rules taken from an instruction manual, nature itself does not allow for hard and fast rules, we have all picked up ideas from others, this is what learning is all about.

Once we are fully up and running we will be having regular hints and tips as to what to do in the garden at specific times of the year, a question and answer page, gardening calendars, infact whatever you want, if you have a suggestion for a relevant topic just contact us and we will find a way to fit it into the site.

We would love to share your gardening stories and wildlife sightings, along with any pictures you may have.

Not only will we be selling the usual garden sundries we will also be concentrating on all aspects of your gardens, including, ornaments, tools, books and gift items to name but a few.

We are also very conscious of our natural surroundings, without being fanatical!

With the rapid disappearance of open spaces and woodland we want to help conserve our natural wildlife and plants. With this in mind we are having sections of this website dedicated to these topics.

We look forward to meeting you and sharing the wonderful experiences that nature has to offer.

We value your Privacy.

Where are all the Summer Visitors?

June 30th, 2008

If, like me, you spend a lot of time outdoors you will notice certain creatures without really thinking about them.
This year certain species are noticeable by their absence.

How to get a sound from a Shepherd’s Whistle

May 10th, 2008

Before I started selling Shepherd’s Whistles I tried one myself and judging by the many questions I have received asking how to get a sound from the whistle, discovered they are not that easy to get a sound out of at first.
Do not despair! It took me about an hour to finally get a […]
